“Since its incorporation Sioux has won a number of awards. I am extra proud of two of them. The first is the award for the Best Entrepreneurs Vision in 2003 because it actually regards the human aspect which takes a central position within our organisation. To me, that involves the core of my personal vision on entrepreneurship.”

“Sioux has also been nominated several times for the 'Best 1st Tier Supplier of the Netherlands Award'. The most remarkable was the first time we won, in 2003. Then it appeared that three of our customers had, irrespective of each other, nominated Sioux. The reasons for this varied. For a manufacturer of medical equipment the automation of its production process was the reason. Internally there were no funds available because the entire budget was meant for product development. However, during the production they continuously encountered issues. We identified fifty bottlenecks and recorded the ratio of (re-)building costs to benefits. Eventually we picked up thirty issues. By developing special software a significant reduction in productiontime  could be gained! The customer paid at the moment the equipment was put into use. For this purpose we had concluded an agreement based on risk-reward.”

“I am truly proud of these kinds of results. Making money is not my primary drive. If that would be the case I would choose easier roads. I want to mean something to customers.”
