On April 2 2008 Sioux Remote Solutions presented one of the results from the Intelligent Remote Industrial Services (IRIS) project at Pieken Onthuld. In a consortium of 6 companies and institutions Sioux has been working on software solutions for remote diagnostics and analysis of high-tech equipment.

The IRIS project is funded by the Provincie Limburg.

For FEI Company Sioux realised a remote solution for testing and maintenance of electron microscopes. With regard to the maintenance critical components are monitored online and periodically some test samples are measured. As a consequence service engineers in the field are no longer required.
